VBNL is open for newly approved CASPs and stablecoin issuers in the Netherlands and seeks new chairman to further professionalize Europe’s oldest crypto industry body

The Association of United Bitcoin Companies Netherlands (VBNL), the oldest industry body for crypto globally, is proud to announce that it is now open for newly approved CASPs in the Netherlands — both authorised and notified with the AFM — as well as stablecoin issuers. VBNL also seeks for a new Chairman to represent VBNL in a maturing crypto market. 

 

For over a decade, VBNL has built and maintained strong relationships with key Dutch institutions, including the Dutch Central Bank,  the Authority for the Financial Markets, various ministries, the National Police, the Financial Investigation Unit, banks, and other related entities. As VBNL opens up for broader representation with these regulators and stakeholders, it continues to foster a collaborative environment to ensure the responsible growth of the crypto industry in the Netherlands and Europe.

 

– Representing Dutch market: VBNL represents 90% of the Dutch crypto-asset market participants, including Bitvavo, Coinmerce, MoonPay and Zero Hash.

– Decade of Collaboration: With over ten years of engagement with Dutch regulators, financial institutions, and law enforcement, VBNL is uniquely positioned to advocate for the crypto industry and bridge the gap between traditional finance and emerging technologies.

– Voice towards government, regulators and media: VBNL is a unified voice of CASPs in dialogue with the government and Dutch regulators AFM and DNB  helping its members to  navigate regulatory frameworks effectively navigate through regulatory frameworks. The industry body has direct connections with the Dutch media. .

 

– Leadership Transition: In the coming years, VBNL aims to professionalize its role and intensify collaboration with various stakeholders, including national legislators and regulators. As crypto becomes a critical component of the global financial industry, with the potential to transform many aspects of traditional financial institutions through efficient crypto companies, VBNL is actively seeking a visionary chairman to lead the organization into its next chapter.
